Its Not Just About the Work

Running a creative business is about more than just producing campaigns, designs, or other creative ventures. Sure, we create, we innovate, we deliver, and we meet deadlines—but there’s something even more valuable that comes from our work: the relationships we build.

In the world of creative agencies, there’s a certain magic in collaboration. It’s not just about working with clients or partners—it’s about creating something meaningful together, supporting each other, and building lasting friendships. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting amazing people through our projects, and some of them have become not just professional partners but lifelong friends.

One of the most notable examples is David from Lumus. Working with David has been a truly enriching experience. Beyond the work, he’s become a close friend—someone I can trust, learn from, and share ideas with. When you work with someone who shares your passion and dedication, something special happens. It’s not just about getting a job done—it’s about creating a shared vision, pushing each other to do better, and ultimately supporting one another in both business and life.

What makes the relationship with David stand out is that it’s built on mutual respect and a genuine connection. It’s not just about delivering a product or service—it’s about the human side of things. David and I have celebrated successes, faced challenges, and exchanged ideas that have shaped the way we approach our work and the world around us.

We’ve been fortunate to meet incredible people like Guus from DeeptechXL and Eva from Qblox—both of whom have become not only clients but also friends. Each collaboration has been an opportunity to deepen those relationships, learn from each other, and find ways to grow together.

And of course, Ken and Patrick from Tectonic 3D—what a team. Working with them has been a highlight for us. Their clarity, creativity, and openness made the collaboration seamless from day one. But more than that, they brought warmth and trust into every meeting. It’s not often you find clients who feel like part of your own crew, and with Ken and Patrick, that’s exactly what happened.

These friendships make the work we do even more fulfilling because they remind us that business isn’t just about transactions—it’s about people.

What I’ve learned through these experiences is that the real value of running a creative business isn’t just the finished product—it’s the lasting relationships that come from it. The creative work we do is a bridge, bringing us closer to people who share our passions and values. It’s about creating something that connects on a deeper level and, along the way, finding friendships that last long after the project is over.

At the end of the day, the relationships we cultivate through our work make the journey worthwhile. The work may be important, but the people we meet, the friendships we forge, and the trust we build are what make our business truly meaningful.

David, Guus, Eva, Ken, Patrick—and so many others we’ve had the privilege to work with—remind us that business is personal. It’s about connections, shared experiences, and building something together that goes beyond the work itself. And for that, we are incredibly grateful.
